The MEBAK® Guideline for Brewhouse Evaluation is an analytical and technical reference. By contrast, the DIN 8777 standard is designed for brewhouse inspections. This MEBAK® guideline is an updated version of past guidelines which were published in 1993, 2002 and 2009.

This guideline is intended for those purchasing new brewhouses or brewhouse equipment as well as for those operating existing brewhouses. For those purchasing new brewhouses, the guideline provides recommendations for standard values pertaining to technical specifications for brewhouse equipment and for brewing technology. The standard values can be found, for example, in appendices A, B and C of the DIN 8777 standard (Brewhouse Plants - Minimum Specifications).
